Our team of dedicated, talented staff and management are passionate about what they do, ensuring the catering at your event meets the highest standard.

Every event makes a statement about your brand or company. Working in partnership with you, we ensure that statement is a positive one, by creating a perfect dining experience that reflects you, your company’s and your brand’s image.

Who We Are

Main Event Catering was founded in 1977 and is based at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec.

We have a long legacy of delivering outstanding catering services to the industry at large, and hold the catering rights for the following venues:

• Johannesburg Expo Centre (South Africa's largest exhibition centre);
• Sandton Convention Centre;
• FNB Soccer City;
• Orlando Stadium;
• Rand Stadium;
• Dobsonville Stadium; and
• Bidvest Wanders Stadium (where we cater for thousands of patrons at various annual events).

In addition to our full-service catering capabilities, we also own rights to numerous national fast-food franchise brands, including:

Being affiliated with these top brands ensures we maintain our high standards.

Main Event Catering also holds vending rights for a range of brands and products, including Nestlé ice cream. Lavazza coffee, Nino’s coffee , and ABI colas.

To this, add our own stable of recognisable in-house brands for a truly extensive range of food offerings:

Main Event Catering has a regional footprint with 3 000 m² of professional industrial catering kitchens. Our state-of-the-art equipment and systems ensure quality catering, speed of delivery, and food that’s deliciously fresh,

To complement this, we have six mobile units that allow us to cater off-site for between 100 and 50 000  people per day.

Our 350 trained waiters, barmen and servers – who are led by 35 professionally trained chefs and senior managers – will ensure your event is serviced to the hilt.
